  • Step 1: Download YHT Model

  • Step 2: Split the model in Cura with Mesh Tools, pull it apart

  • Step 3:Experimenting with different support structures and timings by adjusting the orientation of each letter to see which letter (YHT) prints faster and which ones do not require support.

Observation: The longer the bridge, the stringier the bottom becomes due to the lack of supports.

ACTIVITY 2 CUSTOM SUPPORT (IRON MAN)

Three types Support

Normal, Tree, and Custom support

  • The quickest option is the Normal setting with supports touching the build plate.

  • Custom supports and Normal supports with touching build plate have a difference of 5 minutes.

  • I prefer using Normal supports with touching build plate placement because it only requires one line of support, making it easier to remove compared to Custom supports, which have three lines of support.
